Ultrasound

Oh and one more thing, we had the ultrasound on the baby on the 21st of April. At 22 weeks it would have been easy to tell the sex but once again we did not find out. We like the surprise and are going to wait until he or she arrives to find out. Sorry to all you that want to know so badly! August will be here soon! The baby is growing good and kept stretching its legs they look long like daddy's. I wish I could figure out how to post photos from the cd but probably not that talented sorry!

Branding in Trout Creek

We branded the cows at the ranch this last weekend, it was cold and windy. We were glad for the great help that came. If not for the cold wind and all the kids (8 in all) being sick including me with strep throat, the weekend would have been perfect!
McKoy was trying to help Clint get the head catch on the calf, he likes to be helpful! The rest of the day he was loading the tagger for Meg.
Matt, Brett and Ed were waiting for another calf to be roped and drug to the fire.

Tess was her funny self she just loves "Meggie" and when she was not being held by Meg she was showing us her cute faces and dancing while she watched the guys rope. I notice now that I did not get a good picture of Ashton she was helping load the tagger with Koy and with the cold and wind I did not get many pictures, a first for me!
This picture of Koy is what he spent the last half of the day doing, he was following dad around and bringing the "bean bags" as he says, calf nuts back to the collection bucket. He got quite a laugh out of how slimy they are and chased any one who would run or play!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy 29th Matt, I keep teasing him that this is the last year of his youth, the twenties are gone! We stayed home to celebrate, I made a cake and steak dinner. The kids sure enjoyed singing and helping to blow out the candles.

Easter

We colored Easter eggs on the Friday before Easter the kids had so much fun, 5 dozen eggs was not enough when coloring but we had our work cut out for us when we went to eating them!

Happy Easter! Ok its late for me to post but I am any way. We spent the day with Matt's family they came over to our house and we cooked dinner in dutch ovens, we had ham, sweet and sour chicken, biscuits, berry cobbler, potatoes, and salads, strawberry short cake, chips & dip, so much food we could have eaten for a week! We also had a Easter egg hunt for the kids. There were so many Easter eggs the kids baskets were over flowing. The boys went wheeling in the rhinos and 4 wheelers and set some beaver traps on the creek. It was a little cool and breezy but a welcome change from the snow we have enjoyed! Thanks to all who made the long drive to our neck of the brush it was a fun day. We missed the ones that could not make it but understand its a busy time of year.

Our Family is Growing!

We had a enjoyable day of branding and visiting with the family in Grouse Creek, Saturday the 28th. We sent everyone home with a plastic Easter egg, a message inside said that Koy, Ash and Tess are Eggcited to be having a baby brother or sister on the way. That is how we spilled the beans of our expanding family. As you can see the kids love the calves and had a good time riding and petting them. Playing with their cousins was also a treat.
Then on Monday the 30th we went to Park City to visit the family there and spilled the beans to them as well. We were surprised to find out that Chad and Kami are also going to have one in October. Our new one is due Aug 28th. We spent 3 fun days with everyone and the kids did not want to come home. We hope to get back down there soon.
