Happy Halloween

We ventured to Oakley to the trunker treat this year. The kids had a great time and got a ton of candy. Koy was a Knight, Ashton a Cowgirl, Tess was Cinderella and Challas a Giraffe, Jhet was Superman, Hallie was Tinkerbell and Charley was Tigger. Tess really loved her wig and the chance to wear princess garb in public. Koy loved his sord. Ash loves her chaps but really did not feel that well that day. Challas hated his getup, it slowed him down... he was fine after he found the suckers! Trick or Treat!

Happy Birthday Tessy

Ok so I am still posting things that happened in October! I just hate to miss stuff! So Happy Birthday Tessy, I can not believe she is 4 already. She is a very strong willed princes, so sweet, so funny, we really get a kick out of her. She LOVES babies and every thing that has to do with them. She will be a good mother! We celebrated her birthday twice once at Grandma and Grandpas with lots of family and again at home on her Birthday with Nanna and Pops. We love you Tess, keep us smiling!

Challey Man Mess!

At the age where he is into every thing and climbing onto everything, this morning I found him in this mess, he thought it so great and was just eating away, I guess I was not fast enough getting his breakfast!

Priceless!

Our children spend lots of time at the corral in the fall, helping to work the cattle in the chute. This day Tess was watching Matt and Bret de-horn a calf and cauterize it to help with the bleeding. As she watched and smelled the burning her face got funnier and funnier, the look on her face priceless!

Pushin' Cattle to Etna

Pops and Nana's favorite canine family members, Bud and Roy.

Ashton and Pops, enjoying each others company.

Mckoy and Ashton, I so love this picture, they are the best of friends. I wish I could only hear what they were talking about, they rode like this for quite a while. Pretty dang cute!

The scenery is pretty this time of year despite the dust!

Each year we help Nana and Pops push their cattle to Etna. The last couple of years McKoy has been big enough to help. Well this year Ashton was finally big enough to help to, as soon as she found out she could go with them the entire way on her own horse she was on cloud 9 for days. She rode Brogan, and McKoy rode Vegas. Daddy, Pops and Uncle Frank were also there, it was a beautiful day, we followed in the trucks to pick them up when they got there.

Yet another enjoyable thing about fall, working along side your family in beautiful weather.

Challas our littlest cowboy!

Tess we call her our diamond in the rough! She likes all the pretties on to go and play in the mud!

What is not to love about fall. It's one of my favorite times of the year. As usual we were very busy. Gathering the cows to wean and preg check, this day early in October we had gone to get pictures of the cattle coming into the meadows, and sat talking to the cowboys at the gate after. McKoy had helped them bring the cattle down and really enjoyed that. The girls so envious of him, they were glad he let them take a ride on Brogan after. I captured these cute pictures of Tess and Challas in the tall grass. Like I said Fall is so great!

Big sisters helping open gifts.

So serious about his work!

Here is the famous vacuum.

Nanny and Challas

Tess and her pretty party dress and blue frosting.

Seriously with a face like that, I'll have some cake to!

Birthday Boys, Jhet was very carefully taking finger fulls of frosting and eating it and Challas just trying to tear the cake a part. Pretty cute little fellas.

Check him out both hands full going for more.

Ok so I am at least a month late in posting Challey man's Birthday, not cool. never the less it was a great first birthday. We had a BBQ on his birthday Aug 29th, lots of family came and we had a great time watching Challas and Jhet eat their cakes. Jhet's birthday was on the 19th but we celebrated them both together. Challas went for his cake dug both hands in, we made a farm cake and a block cake for the boys. We got him a toy vacuum, as he loves vacuum's, I never have seen a child that young so excited to see that toy, it dose look real just a little version, but he went right to vacuuming, so dang funny. He also got a lot of other cute things and had so much fun with his closest cousin Jhet. Happy Birthday little man we sure love you.

Hopscotch

Don't you remember playing hopscotch. Our kids thought it was fun this summer to, although we drew it on the slanted sidewalk so hopping up hill was a little challenge. Tess was so funny she would say to herself one foot two foot, and get a look at her cute outfit, she dresses with personality, miss matched boots and all!

Boys

The deer in the head light look when he finally got the gate loose.

The boys love to play with the train and build cool tracks, well so do the girls but Koy was building solo while the girls were playing house. Challas well he was doing everything he could to get past the gate to play with Koy. He did manage to get out of jail and maneuver the stairs fairly well. Big bro to save his track came to the stairs to play with little bro, they had a fun time playing chase up and down the stairs. Pretty dang fun and cute boys too.

Little Mommy's

Ash and Tess spend a lot of time, a portion of every day most days being mommy's to their many baby dolls. And fine moms they are, they do it all naps, feeding, baths, time outs, even diaper duty. This day I found them on the back porch that was their home. They really like to use real baby stuff like the stroller, back pack and what ever else they can get. They were so cute I had to get some pictures to remember it all as it goes so fast.

You can see from all these pictures we had a good time at Bear Lake with the Family. The kids loved the beach. Matt was on the 10th and 11th days of recovery Aug 21st and 22nd, what better way to recover than sitting on the beach! Eric, Stacey & Jhet, Ben, Audra, Hallie & Charley and Stacey's Mom and Step Dad were there for 4 days. We stayed the night with Eric and Stacey in their camper and it was a lot of fun the kids are still talking about the beach and the bunk beds! They had Jhet's birthday up there. Eric, Matt and Stacey were sitting by the fire at dark and along came a skunk just 3 or 4 feet away just sondering on by, never thought twice of the fire or the people sitting around it, everyone held very still as not to spook the little stinker, they did not want to be sprayed. The weather was so nice not to hot or cold. We may have to make this an annual trip!
