So I can't believe that the kids and I have made it through 26 weeks of school and its been a joy, a challenge and a rewarding 26 weeks. We only have 10 weeks left, really only ten weeks. Its been so fun seeing how far they have come, Ashton is reading and Koy is reading so much better, Tess has got the alphabet down and numbers to she can also write her name. We have read some great books and done some fun science experiments, and I am learning right along with them! Spring break here we come!
The March winds blow! And usually we are not that happy to see wind, but after all the moisture we had and the volume of mud we were gushing around in, wind was great. Great wind great kite flying opportunities, as so we did. The kids are great kite fliers they don't even need mom now, well not as much. Tess still lets go of the string for a bit but a little running never hurts! Challas was fascinated with it and just wanted to hold the string. Koy and Ash teamed up and could do it all. What a fun afternoon.

Their other pet too....Ouch Tess!
See here and here are my owies.
Sylvilagus audubonii (Desert Cottontail)
Seriously so adorable. Matt found it in the hay stack while he was loading his wagon, he brought it back for the kids and of course they wanted it for a pet. Well why not, its wild and we have no idea how old it is or if it needs its mother but we'll give it a try. So we googled rabbit and found out all we needed to know, they are mammal's (we thought they may be rodents?) anyway, the mother suckles it for about 5 weeks and then weans it, we took a chance got it some alfalfa hay and a dish of water and all be darned it started eating it and drank the water, guess we will see how far this adventure goes!
March madness!
Challas brought this toy in from outside all by him self. He is having a good time with it, gets a little crazy at times but no bumps yet......
Tess even sleeps like a princess, she usually tuckers out on the couch after dinner.
Ashton lost her other front tooth. She talks with a lisp, pretty cute. She is growing up so fast.
McKoy showing Challas how to pop wheelies, thanks big bro.
