The first kids rodeo was last night, and all the kids did great. Ashton tied for first place in the 5 and under's. That was so cool for her, this is the first one she has won, so awsome, she was pretty proud of herself. She is riding all by herself and even trotting. She is our little horse girl, she is truly happy while she is riding. She won a bucket and two gift certificates, one for pizza and the other free dinner at the rodeo, pretty cool.
McKoy is improving but has some tough competion he so wants to beat those girls! He will one of these days! And Tess this is her first year doing all the events, she has the biggest grin on her face while she is out there, and is getting more intrested in the sport. She may be the princess cowgirl! Pictures to come...

Catching up.
The short list! We have been busy, to busy to blog and post pictures of our adventures but I hope to later. The quick on the kids:
McKoy, he is working hard on school so we can actually have a summer break. He was good help today at branding with the taggers, even in the light sprinkling of rain. He is really growing up to fast. He is my best helper, a great kid. He is struggling with the spring allergies and cough, we are working to get that taken care of. He loves to ride his bike, what a change from last year.
Ashton, she lost her first tooth yesterday, ya only five and loosing teeth! We cut 6 or 7 inches off her hair, its now a sassy little bob, she looks so dang cute and older. She is having surgery next Tuesday to remove her tonsil and adenoids, we hope this will help with the fever syndrome. She is so excited for the kids rodeo's to start she sure loves to ride.
Tess, she thinks she is sooo much older than 3. The other day at Burger King I ask her what she wanted she said a hamburger with ketchup and pickles. So I said to her will you eat this one, because the last 10 we have gotten her she only eats the 2 pickles off and nothing else. She said well actually I'll just have pickles in a bag. Oh ok!! She also got her hair cut, about 5 inches, we were just going to trim her locks but I noticed a large chunk of hair on the side by her face was missing, so I ask her what happened she said, well I don't know maybe the scissors breaked it off, so we cut it shorter to help blend the broken part! Those dang scissors... She also said to me while shoe shopping, as she picks up some very tall heels mommy these are sexy! Oh my where in the h--- did she learn that, and non the less how to say it in correct context? Yikes. I fear the teen years.
Challas, just a couple of days from 9 months, my baby is growing up to fast. He is learning stuff so quickly, one taste of real food and he will not eat baby food anymore, I don't blame him. He is crawling everywhere and when he gets there pulls him self up to walk around stuff, he wants to let loose and walk to ya but his balance is just not there yet. He is just starting to clap his hands on purpose and dose so big with his hands above his head. He makes the funniest noises, especially when he is excited, so cute. He also dose BONK, you say BONK and he bonks his head on yours. He gives hugs and kisses or raspberries on your neck or cheek. Just a lovable kid. He weighs 21 pounds he lost 2 pounds since moving about, and is 31 1/4 inches tall, he is still a big fella.
Matt has been so busy moving cattle around and branding and water lines. A ton of spring work. We were excited for the arrival of our colt a filly this year looks like she will be a light color will be fun to see what she turns out to be. Matt caught a baby bunny in the hay bale on Tuesday just in time for the kids to see when we got home from Grandmas and Grandpas, it was so cute, we wanted to keep it but the dogs must have knocked the barrel over and it was gone the next morning. Freckles had a batch of 6 puppies today, another unplanned batch of muts! They are cute though and the kids will really enjoy.
Me and the kids spent 7 days at Grandma and Grandpas last week, we had a great time seeing everyone. Most of all seeing how well Grandma is improving, I got to pull her feeding tube out on Monday night, it was like she got out of jail, so glad to not have to depend on that any more. She looks so great and is getting so much stronger. Yeah!!! I finally got all my dental work completed nice not to have aching teeth!
Hope to get some pictures posted of all these enjoyable events in the next days.

7 1/2 Months Challey Man

So how did my baby get so big so fast? He is now crawling not at record speeds but getting faster every day and he can pull himself up to stand in the crib, on toys and other stuff. But he would not show me his Teeth, he gave me the stiff lips when I tried to get a picture of his cute bottom teeth. We love this baby boy.
Oakley Ranch Judged Ropin

There was a ropin in Oakley, this one was judged as apposed to being a timed event although they did have a allotted time to do it in. It was fun watching the fancy loops thrown. They had a dutch oven dinner that was very good and was free to all, how nice. Here are a few pictures of Matt, his teams did not win but scored well and was in the top 5. It was fun visiting with all our friends and the kids well, had so much fun they were asleep before we left the parking lot.
J Bar Branding in Trout

This branding actually took place before we went to Grandmas I got a little ahead of my self. We had a good crew and it was great weather. Koy was right at Dads side when he was cutting the calves he wanted to collect all the "bean bags" as he calls them and put them in the bucket, he says the bloodier the better, he soon took off his gloves they got to wet and his hands looked just like dads. He was funny if there were some big ones he had to come show me and he would say mom take a look at the size of these ones! He is a crack up. Ash and Tess played around in the back of the truck and Challas was good to sit in the back pack on my back and then took a nap in the stroller, he is such a good baby.
We love Grandma and Grandpa

We were privileged to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for 2 weeks, and even more so, were so greatful to be there to help Grandma through some tough times. I can not say enough great things about my family, when the going gets tough we all pull together. Grandma spent a few days in the hospital, that's never a fun place for anyone to be, we are so glad we got her home and are able to care for her there. She is making huge strides to recovery and we are so greatful. The power of prayer. My tender hearted Koy still has a hard time when it comes to Grandma, he gets all teary eyed when we talk about her and how things are going, he was pretty worried, she holds a very special place in his heart. He and the girls never miss a chance to bless Grandma in their prayers. Tess was also very cute with Grandma, one afternoon I found her tucked in bed next to Grandma watchin TV, I said what ya doin she says Hanging out with Grandma, it was so cute. The picture of the kids getting a pony ride on Grandpas knees whom he named Patchey and Ghost after our horses, Grandpa had them all laughing. Aunt Shelly was sharing her spectacles with Challey man he looked so cute, although they did not stay on long. Just got to say I got a great family wouldn't trade them for the world.
Broken Arrow Branding
Easter

Easter was a long time ago I know, the month of April just ran away from me, so I'm catching up. We had a good time on Easter despite the cold wind and snow, the bunny left the kids each a basket full of goodies and hid eggs all over the house. Challas had a fun time with all the eggs he liked to eat them. Later in the day we went to Nana and Pops house for dinner and another egg hunt. We enjoyed the family and the kids came home with hundreds yes hundreds of eggs full of candy. Dentist here we come!
