So what do those have in comon? Nothing, except timing. Good news first.
Yesterday the kids had another rodeo they did great, Koy is very consistent and improving, he loaped back home on the barrels and when he got back off his horse he said "mom did you see how fast I went, I think I was galloping for a minute and I did not practice that at home but was hoping for one of those at the rodeo!" How cute is he!!! It is so exciting to see his confidence growing and he is so proud of him self. Ash is also doing very well, she tried to do the barrels herself and Brogan thought ofter the first one he was done and headed for home and she had flash backs of Patchey running off with her and hollered for dad, he rode in and she followed him on Ghost for the rest of the pattern, dad is not leading her any more she just follows him. She looks so small on top of big ol Brogan, but rides really great. She loves the horses and can't get enough of them. Tess is also too cute as well, she rode patchey again and just sits up there and holds the reins and grins and looks at the crowd, then for the goat she was a little shy so big sister Ash held her hand and ran with her, that was a darling sight those two running out there! I have to say they are some darling kids! Tess was also amusing everyone with a line she learned off the Little Rascals movie, she says " Dear Darla, I hate your stinkin guts, you make me bomit (vomit), you are skum me toes, Love Alfalfa!" She says it so sassy, an entertainer that one!!!
Now for the rain, we are loving the wet weather, how nice for the grass! Sure is green and moist around here! The kids also love all the mud puddles in the driveway and all the big worms in the mud.
Ok last but not least, RODENTS! We have lived here for 6 years and our home is the most rodent proof home, we have never had mice or any rodents inside, mind you there are plenty around outside, despite the fact of our 4 cats!! In the last 2 weeks we had a mouse crawl up the drain in the dish washer, ya I know yuck. So we set traps and caught the fat little bugger. And today the kids came running to tell me they see a mouse I am thinking the worst of course and he is in the fireplace, ya how he got in there don't know the roof I am guessing, because it is not open inside the house and has pretty tight door??? So we just set traps in there and the kids are currently being entertained by watching him run around in there waiting for him to take the bait. He is a small little one so I am worried he may have a family? Oh I hope not!!! What is not to love about living in the sticks!!!
