Over a year since my last post, really pathetic so much for wanting to keep a journal on my blog of what happens in our family. Well its been too busy to recap that last year, so I just have to go on from here!
We are still homeschoolers, Koy is in 5th grade, Ash in 3rd and Tess in 1st, Challas is in pre school when we have time, which is not that often! So we have been really busy, but this year is shaping up to be a lot better than last. We are learning how to do things better and it seems to be working for us right now.
Beyond that we have been helping with the ranch work and loving the warm fall. We have been freezing for a few weeks yet still today a friendly (ya right) snake had to make his way to the porch. It was rather warm today but really can they not go into winter hiding yet! Or at least not show up at my door.
We have one more day of school this week, Friday is Nevada Day so we have it off, so we are headed to Utah to visit everyone. And last week Vanette, Kami, Alec, Talon and Paisley came out to visit us. It was awesome, we hit the pumpkin patch in Oakley and carved and painted pumpkins when we got home. We rode horses, ran and played and had a great time, cousins are awesome.
Tess' birthday is Sunday, yikes, she will be 7. She can not be that big already. She is our little mommy loves babies and dolls, she is quite the little cowgirl and loves to ride. She is very smart in school and reading very well, she is a sweet spirit.
Check out these cute kids, they are growing up way to fast. This was taken in Yost, a couple of weeks ago.

School
We are back in school, homeschooling again with K12, our first week was brutal. I can only hope that I can get a system worked out that will work. With 3 kids to teach this year, I am busy. Feeling a bit over whelmed to say the least. Matt is helping out a lot, he will take Challas with him and that cuts the distraction's. And Challas LOVES to be with daddy. Who doesn't though, he is awesome and fun.
Funny I started this post a while ago and did not have time to finish it. Sadly though the first paragraph was written the first week in September and now its the second week in October and well things are still brutal. Ok they are some better, I know where to find all our lessons and such but we are still under so much work, I mean they keep these kids so busy they have so much work. It dose not help that we have the slowest Internet in the world, that makes for some frustration in waiting for lessons. Oh boy I am getting a lot smarter! Oh yes the kids are too! But we are working our buts off, there have been so many days that we start school at 7 am and are still going at 6pm. Each child may not go that long but I am there straight through, and its mentally exhausting. Yep it wears me out. All I can hope is it will all be worth the time and effort in the end. I do know that you appreciate the information much more the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time around!
So we will keep at our daily chore of school and hope to get better and better at it..... We may need a few prayers... no really... daily prayers are needed.

Oakley Ranch Rodeo, Sept.14th &15th
Oakley's Ranch Rodeo was a fun event this year, I got a lot of neat photos of cowboys and and horses working at their best. Our Internet is so incredibly slow that it has taken me 2 hours to upload just these 3 photos, so its all you will get to see for now. Here is my sexy buckaroo, riding one of his favorite horses Cheetah she did well in the cow work.
Another great shot I was in the right spot and the right time, love that, Trevor and his horse eating that cow for lunch, they did well in the fence work.
Horse ropin the buckaroos love this event as do I its an art. Cheetah put Matt right on this horse and he threw a beautiful loop. Matt finished up with the Grouse Creek Team in second place. Pretty sweet.

They are growing up!
Challas 3 years old.
Tesscany 5 years
Ashton 7 years
Mckoy 9 years
I can not believe the kids are getting so big so fast. They have some fun personality's. We love them so so much.
The Clampet's!
Happy Birthday Challey Man
Happy Birthday Challas, 3 years old, where did the time go. We had a fun Cowboy party and lots of the family came a long ways to help us celebrate. We really know how far it is out to our house but it meant a lot to all of us that every one came that far. We really enjoyed the visit, although it was too short. Thanks everyone. I tried to do a darling fondant cake and well it was cute but I am not good at the fondant. More practice!
Ashton in Yosemity Sam.
Paisley and Challas were so cute driving around in the jeep, Paisley would talk on the CB while they were driving around.
We kept the party a bit redneck, and had mutton busting, here Ian and Koy are helping Tess on. I think the funnest part for the kids was chasing the sheep around.

Patchey our pony behaved while the kids took rides, Ash was a good horse handler and led every one around. Paisley could not wait to get on as did the rest of the kids as well.
Clothing line!
Haha like I have a clothing line. How about my clothes line.... I actually made these outfits hanging here, ok ok parts of them. I made the skirts and one shirt and a couple of dresses that are not shown. I gave them as birthday gifts. I am a complete rookie at sewing clothes but its a fun hobby to dabble in. I have lots of big ideas and not a lot of time or witt to get them done.
Happy Birthday Jhet
I am late in posting this one. We had a great time at Jhet's birthday party the middle of this month. It was a late night getting home but worth the drive.
Jhet and Challas cute little cowpokes.Jhet and his cute mustache.
They had cottan candy, a crowd pleaser for the kids, Hallie showed me her blue toung.
Chalrley liked the cake you could not tell from her cute face!
Happy Birthday Jhet, I can not believe he is 3, Challas is next!
