New Pups & Summer fun

Our Goal is to have Tess conquer peddling all by herself this summer. We are practing every day, she is learning fairly fast. Lets hope my back and patients hold out! One other thing Tess has started doing in the last few weeks is studdering, its actually rather cute to hear her, McKoy went through a little studdering spell I think he was a little younger though. So I am not to worried I think she will out grow it. She was trying to tell me something the other day and as I patiently waited for her she says, my woyeds just wont come out, she has trouble with the first one usually. She is so funny.

I hope we do not see this face at 16 as he drives the tractor in the ditch laughing all the way! Hummm ya think...........

How fun for the kids, a batch of pups to play with all summer. Well they are so cute we know yall want one, so take your pick....... they will be ready in 3 weeks to go home with you. Today the kids had them all on the lawn playing it occupied their entire afternoon.

The expression on Challas's face says it all, the boy loves animals and can't get his hands on them quickly enough. I wish he were just a little more gentle though, he tends to want to hold them and pet them ever so firmly!

The Piano Man!

Introducing Challey Mon Frier Omon..... Famous French Composer....hahahaha

Challas 9 months already, serrious.. Time flies...
So to explain his get up, the vest he is wearing usto be Matt's as a child. Its a cute pinstripe vest so I found this hat that looked cute with it and took his picture over at Aunts piano. He looks like a little french composer! It was fun anyway.

He is such a fun little guy, what a joy. Its so fun to see his siblings teaching him and loving him.

Playing at Aunts

We had a fun afternoon at Aunt Vanette's house. The tramp was fun the girls can really jump and dance away! Challas liked following Brutis the dog around, he was very fascinated with him and Brutis was a perfect gentleman.

Ash and Challey man, they get along so cute.

So Tess was so funny on the tramp, she keep doing her summer dance (a dance that she makes up as she goes along, its different every time) and it ends with several darling poses, she is so dramatic and theatrical.

Ash is pretty athletic she was jumping high and trying to do toe touches. She is easy going and fun.

Well I got no pictures of Koy this day, he was to busy playing with Alec and we hardly even knew he was there, he slept over the entire time we were down visiting and loved every second he sure looks up to Alec. And what a great roll model to have.

The Zoo

We made our annual trip to the zoo for the summer. This time Kami and I took 8 kids, yes I said 8 kids. Tori, Vance, Talon, Paisley, McKoy, Ashton, Tess and Challas, and we managed to get home with all 8! They really tried to keep a couple to put in the monkey exhibit but we could not decide wich two to leave! There were a lot of cute babies there one being the elephant she was a treat. I was so happy at each exhibit McKoy knew nearly all the animals he even got the Mir cat and the red panda fox and I had to look at the signs to make sure, I guess he is learning his school lessons well... We got snow cones, cotton candy, and went on the carousal ride, I am not sure who was more wore out us or the kids but it was a great afternoon.

Ashton and Vance

Tess

Koy

Challas here by the big elephant its his first time to the zoo, he liked the animals and also took a little nap.

This guy is real... would not want to meet up with him at dinner time.

Zuri the baby elephant, way to cute.

Vance, Tess, Koy, Ash, Challas, Tori, Paisley, Talon

Is he really playing with those..... Snakes!

Yes those are rubber snakes and yes my child is playing with them. McKoy loved being at Vance's birthday party last Sunday, he got to play with these rubber snakes something he will never have the privilege of in our home, due to moms extreme fear of the little buggers, rubber or not! Sorry buddy.

Challas and Paisley had a great time with the wrapping paper.

And Grandpa settled in on the couch with the kids to watch Horse Crazy, a cute movie...and they all stayed awake through it! Its so great to visit with your family!

Rose Ranch Branding

We enjoyed the day at the Rose Ranch last week. It was a early morning to leave home by 6 am, with all the kids in tow... to make it to the branding. It was a crisp morning and a cool day with a lot of wind, but we rather that than it be hot! Great roping and great company.

Cheetah did good at one of her first brandings. Matt roped good to.

Darin entertained us by riding a cow.

The kids had a good time playing with there buddies. Koy found a big stink bug his pet for the day!

Here's a fancy pair of boots that was there!

I'd say they are pretty cute!

Ashton's Surgery

Monday afternoon we went to town to stay for Ashton to have her tonsils and adenoids out on Tuesday morning at 6am. We went to dinner and then took Ash and Challas swimming at the hotel something they never get to do so it was a huge treat for them. McKoy and Tess were at Nana and Pops's so they missed the swimming and they were a little jealous.

The surgery went well the doc said her adenoids were a bit tore up more than he had expected but the tonsils looked pretty good. In recovery she was doing fine until her face got firey red and she had a little fever. The nurse was quite concerned and got the anesthesiologist back in there and he seem to think she was having a reaction to the morphine they had given her. Hummm. So they gave her a shot of benadryl and about 2 hours later the rash had left. So dose this mean she is allergic to morphine? Well its very rare to be allergic to morphine and not something you would want to be allergic to, but no it dose not mean she is she may have just been really sensitive to it, how ever in the future we must note this for future precaution.

So we brought her home and for the first few days she was pretty soar and we kept the Tylenol with codeine in her, and today she is playing and doing well. She is not back to eating much yet and her voice still sounds like she has strep throat but she is definitely doing good. Now lets hope those fevers never return.

This is wed morning she is feeling pretty good, she got that pink blanket from the hospital and she's wearing her new PJ's.

Oman Family Renunion

Memorial Day is always the Oman family reunion in Yost. Matt and McKoy went over on sat night after the rodeo and slept in the tack room of the horse trailer. Koy was so excited to go camping. The girls, Challas and I came home it was just to cold for Challey man, and as it turned out Ash came down with the fever again, so glad we were home where its warm to deal with that, I gave her the prentazone it worked this time and it went away. We went over on Sunday to visit and eat the yummy potluck lunch. This year they had all the siblings tell stories of growing up, they were so funny. I really enjoyed hearing them, McKoy came up to me after and said mom those stories were really great, I guess he liked them too! Still laughing about some of them...

We went fishin on the creek, Frank caught 2 fish and let Tess think she got them and reeled them in, she had the biggest smile on her face. Koy was glad to help take the one off the hook he likes to hold the slimey little buggers! Koy caught some fish earlier that day but non in the afternoon and he was sad to have to go without catching more fish. Ash never did catch one, they had a couple bite the worm off and not get caught, maybe next time.

Challas and Jhet had fun playin back at the camp, Challas was trying to eat Jhets hat.
