I love this cat!

I am not a crazy cat lady in fact I don't really love cats very much, I like to look at them and have them eat mice and stay outside. I get a kick out of this cat however, Tiger also know as Pusser, is a great cat. He lives out side is very low maintenance and puts up with a lot. Challas loves him so much and is so rough and mean with him, but he never scratches or any thing just loves all the attention he can get. Any way.....

I went out under the porch one afternoon to find Pusser like this. So funny, the kids and I had been up to the low spot in the creek we call the minno pond and they had caught 4 or 5 minnos in this bucket, brought them home to have as pets. So I stood there and watched Pusser for a minute and he did not care so I went for the camera because it was so funny how intent he was. Just waiting there for the fish to get closer to the surface so he could get one.

You can see the fish on the left hand side of the bucket he blends in with the rocks, but he is there and the little ones you can not really pick out.
This is the look I got when I asked him what he was doing.......Well excuse me, I will leave you alone I thought.

Tidbits..

Challas loves to move pipe so much with Daddy and Pops, that today while he was playing he found a curtain rod that was not in use and was laying it out on the floor, picking it up and moving it and then connecting it back together. I asked him what he was doing and he said movin my pipe, I got to hook it up so the sprinklers will work. Oh my, he will love us to remind him of this when he is 13 and hates hand lines...

Koy has been riding with Matt moving cows and his confidence is so much better. Even better he is becoming a great rider and learning a lot about moving cattle. He is now asking his dad every night if they are riding tomorrow and if he can go. Despite that you have to get up at 5 am and he is so tired he get up and is excited. He has learned to catch his horse and help saddle him. He can now get on and off big ole 4x4 by him self, which is a feat cause he is huge. And best he comes home with the best sense of accomplishment and worth, its so awesome.

As for the girls, I signed them up for dance they will start in Sept. Tess is so excited, she informed me that she needed some more onesies (leotards) because the old ones are not pretty enough. She also told me one day that she needed her own horse and is not sharing with Challas any more. And another day she said mom I am the queen you need to bow to me. Tess has made leaps and bounds in her riding she is running around like an old pro, how ever, she was lucky the other day we were practicing and she ran home from the 3rd barrel and some how fell off but was hanging on to Brogans neck, good thing he is bomb proof and just slowed down and we got to her and threw her back in the saddle. She keeps asking me if we are going to Las Angles, finally she said some Disney show is having a dance thing and you could be on TV dancing she is sure she need to be there... This is the same girl who says she needs to be on Toddlers and Tiras. Censored TV is what is happening, but very cute!

As for Ash, she is growing, taller and her feet longer. She is still a sweetie, keeping everyone happy. She is doing awesome at riding, no fear for her. At times she is faster than Koy, although he dose not know it. She is still a tomboy but now starting to love girly things too. She will be taking ballet and jazz dancing and is excited. She is an animal lover and takes good care of them. She is a busy girl and is always on the go. Her fevers are more sporadic and even more puzzling, new symptoms leave us back to wondering how to understand or treat. But she is a tough little girl and gets through them. She is a great helper to me, I can always count on her for lots of things.

My Hero

Yes that is what you think it is. A BIG blow snake. I was mowing the lawn one morning and he scared the Bjeses out of me as he came out of the bush. I was so mad, mad that I am such a scardee cat, and mad he caught me off guard and mad that I have to figure out how to get rid of it.

Well after my healthy scream, he went back into the bush by the front deck. So that gave me a minute to go get a weapon. Only we were out of shot gun shells so I had to hunt up the 22.  In the mean time I had McKoy on the deck watching our criminal. Loaded for bear I let him have it, I know that sounds so tough, don't let me kid you I was shaking in my shoes, not about shooting about having to look at it. But I had plenty of support the kids were just in the door and kept asking did you get it mom.  It was a crafty little bugger and hard to see, so to make sure I had hit and killed it Koy grabbed the hose and we flushed him out of the bush with water. Low and behold he was only wounded, so I finished him off.

And so here is where the Hero part comes in, Koy has been my little hero this summer, when we have had snake encounters he will give them the shovel treatment or save me another way. This time he dared to walk on ground level to get supplies, and when it came time to remove the snake, he did not bat and eye at getting the rake and fishing him out.  He even laid him out for the pictures, because I knew no one would believe that I yes I killed a big one. Then he took him to the burning barrel so there was not any chance to scare me any more.  Now you see he is an awesome young man, and takes good care of his mother. Thank you Koy I love you dearly.

You know the worst part, they twitch for a long time eewwe. Koy was startled when he went to touch it and the tail twitched, we all jumped.

Sorry for the snake lovers but I don't bother them unless they violate rule number 1.  Which is, Do Not Invade My Space and Scare Me To Death. In which case I am forced to relocate them forever.

Not a shy bone in him...

Challas has no trouble beating the heat on these hot summer days. I get him dressed and he sheds his clothes the minute he gets out side. Maybe its a good thing that we live out in the sticks with no neighbors.....Sure glad he has his boots on.....

Bun Bun

Who dosen't want to wake up and watch cartoons with Bun Bun. Its also awesome to have celery hand fed to you. Challas usuallly goes out in the morning to get Bun Bun, and Koy helps keep him happy. My boys are too much fun.

Puppies Puppies and more puppies

Just how would it be to have these two darling girls loving you all day long. Ash and Tess  and the boys are entertained all day long with these 7 little darlings.

Did I not say they were cute....

There are not many things cuter than a lamb. Gangley legs and sweet faces.

They seem to be saying are you my mother? Koy, Tess and Ash and Challas loved playing with these two and feeding them.
